Strategy

9 of 25 Principle 9

Principle 9:

Design and integrate play spaces and facilities in the district to meet the needs of families and children.

Example actions:

Commission and deliver a play strategy that aims to make the district more attractive for families and young children by providing much needed amenity and safe pedestrian connections around the district.

Integrate play into the built fabric and landscape of underused public spaces, garden squares and parks off Oxford Street to engage children in the district, and, where possible, design places to rest and play for people of all ages within buildings.
